As of June 18, 2019, employers offering a job to a caregiver no longer require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) approval. The foreign caregiver submits an application for permanent residence and if eligible is issued a work permit. The employer must provide the caregiver with a formal job offer. Caregivers must meet minimum requirements to apply.
